Occupant Protection

The LR3´s comprehensive Supplemental Restraint System (SRS)* features eight airbags on seven-seat models to help protect you in the event of an accident. Includes:

·Steering wheel and dash-mounted airbags
·Side driver and front passenger airbags
·Side curtain airbags for both front and rear seating positions
·Height-adjustable safety belt anchors
·Head restraints for driver and passengers

*Always wear your safety belt and secure children in the rear seat.

Integrated Chassis

LR3´s integrated chassis provides:

· Safety systems that control crash energies effectively
· A quiet cabin that subjects the driver to less fatigue behind the wheel

Electronic Brake Assist

Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) is part of LR3´s dynamic safety system. It detects when a driver is in a panic braking situation, and applies maximum braking instantly.

Electronic Parking Brake (EPB)

LR3´s Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) adds modern-day convenience to your driving experience.

· Simply flick a switch and the electronic brake is applied
· Drive away and the brake is automatically released

Anti-lock Brake System (ABS)

The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) helps prevent the wheels from locking up during hard braking allowing better steering control. The LR3 uses four-channel ABS to precisely monitor and respond to the braking performance of each wheel.

Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)

LR3´s Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) reduces engine power and applies ABS braking to individual wheels to help maintain control, should DSC detect a loss of lateral grip that could occur in a turn.

Active Roll Mitigation (ARM)

The LR3´s Active Roll Mitigation (ARM) predicts when the vehicle may become light on one side in a fast corner, adjusting suspension settings for handling ability.

LR3 Key

The LR3´s driver key includes the following important features:

· Panic Alarm in case you ever need it
· Headlight Courtesy Delay that allows you to safely exit by illuminating your surroundings
· Air Suspension up and down to easily hook up a trailer
· Withstands a 30 foot drop-test onto concrete
· Ability to be submerged under 75 feet of water

Perimeter Security System

The LR3´s Perimeter Security System with keyless entry helps protect your vehicle from intruders.

· Feature is activated automatically when the vehicle is locked using either the key fob or the key and protects the doors, hood and tailgate.
· If any of these apertures are opened while the feature is activated, the alarm will be triggered.

Remote Central Door Locking

Lock and unlock your front, rear and cargo doors with the touch of a button on your remote key fob.

· Radio-frequency remote control features a random rolling code-change each time the remote control is used, so the code can´t be readily duplicated
· Lights turn on briefly whenever you unlock the vehicle using the remote handset

Child Safety Appointments

The LR3 helps enhance the safety of children in the vehicle with the following important equipment:

· LATCH(Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) system to help safely secure a child´s vehicle seat (includes tether anchors)*
· Rear door locks that prevent the side doors from being opened from inside the vehicle.
· Childproof window locks

*Always secure children in the rear seat.

Front and Rear Fog Lamps

LR3 is designed with front (not available on V6) and rear (standard) fog lamps to enhance visibility and help guide you safely whenever weather conditions deteriorate.

Crumple Zones and Reinforced Doors

The LR3 includes front and rear crumple zones designed to absorb impact energy and help minimize the forces acting on the passenger compartment. Steel door beams help limit intrusion in the event of a side-impact collision.

Collapsible steering column

In the event of a high-speed frontal collision, LR3´s sliding-fit steering column allows the shafts to collapse, preventing column intrusion into the vehicle interior.
