Two New Engines

Two new sources of power are available:

Range Rover´s new naturally aspirated HSE V8 Engine:
· The new 4.4-litre V8 on the Range Rover HSE delivers an impressive 305 horsepower. The result is an 8% increase in power over the 2005 Range Rover, providing seamless acceleration and a remarkable improvement on low-end torque.

Range Rover Supercharged V8 Engine:
· The 4.2-litre, 400-hp Range Rover Supercharged V8 is the most powerful—and most refined—Range Rover engine ever made. It delivers a commanding 25% more torque, effortless cruising power and increased acceleration.

High-capacity Towing

The unrivaled power and versatility of the Range Rover gives it an impressive maximum towing capacity of 7,700 pounds and a maximum payload capacity of 1,653 pounds. Advanced systems including Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) take trailer weight into account and adjust suspension height accordingly.

Chassis

The Range Rover´s monocoque body is constructed with a rigid integrated chassis engineered for:
·   Enhanced overall quietness
·   Impressive comfort
·   An exceptionally high towing capacity

Steering

Exceptional feedback and refined, precise handling are the result of the Range Rover´s superb speed-sensitive rack-and-pinion power steering. Subtle changes to the rack in the rack-and-pinion steering system have also been implemented to dampen unwanted road vibrations.

Six-speed Automatic Transmission

You´ll appreciate the new six-speed, electronically controlled automatic transmission with CommandShift™ technology.
· With 30% fewer components, the transmission delivers seamless, rapid-fire gear changes and greater responsiveness.
· The advanced gearbox incorporates technology that learns, then adapts to your driving style for outstanding smoothness and performance.

Dual-mode Throttle

An electronic throttle offers the versatility of choosing between two different response modes:
· For on-road responsiveness, switch to High Range mode for quick and responsive throttle input.
· Low Range mode slows throttle response for more precise control when negotiating off-road trails, loose gravel, or snow.

Electronic Air Suspension (EAS)

Range Rover´s sophisticated Electronic Air Suspension with adjustable ride-height control offers automatic load leveling for exceptional on-road comfort and maximum off-road traction. Four unique modes of operation are available.
·   Optimum handling, comfort and ride height are achieved via Standard mode.
·   Highway mode automatically lowers the Range Rover up to 20 mm for better high-speed aerodynamics.
·   Access mode lowers the Range Rover by 40 mm automatically when parked, making it easier to climb in and out of the vehicle.
·   Off-road mode raises both the front and rear for maximum ground clearance.
