Active Roll Mitigation

The Active Roll Mitigation (ARM) system monitors vehicle stability and can detect when it becomes "light" on one side. ARM utilizes braking systems to enhance stability and assist in preventing a rollover.

Advanced Brake Systems

Giving you a greater sense of confidence and control, Range Rover Sport is outfitted with the momentum-stopping capabilities of heat-dissipating, power-assist four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, with four-piston Brembo® front brakes standard on the Supercharged version. This advanced brake system also incorporates:
· Advanced four-channel, all-terrain ABS braking precisely monitors and responds to the braking performance of each wheel
· Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) senses the vehicle´s front/rear loading and adjusts front/rear brakeforce to optimize braking
· Cornering Brake Control (CBC) senses the vehicle´s lateral forces and adjusts side-to-side brakeforce to optimize braking when cornering
· Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) detects when a driver is in a panic braking situation and applies full braking, assisting the driver in bringing the vehicle to a secure stop
· Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) disengages automatically when the accelerator is pressed

Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)

Range Rover Sport features Dynamic Stability Control (DSC). DSC reduces engine power and applies ABS braking to individual wheels to help maintain control, should it detect a loss of lateral grip that could occur in a turn.

Perimeter Security System with keyless entry

Range Rover Sport´s Perimeter Security System with keyless entry helps protect your vehicle from intruders.
· Perimeter sensors detect if doors are being forced or if glass is broken.
· An interior sensor is triggered by any attempt to gain access to the vehicle.
· A panic button feature instantly activates all locks for added security.

Central Locking System

For added security, the Range Rover Sport´s doors can be double-locked, disabling the interior door handles to discourage intruders from reaching inside the vehicle to gain access.

Additionally, the radio-frequency keyset features rolling codes each time the remote is used, for yet another layer of security.

HomeLink System for Garage Doors and Security Gates

Range Rover Sport is equipped with the HomeLink® Wireless Control System. Devices operated via radio frequency (RF) are programmed into the system and can be operated through a control inside the vehicle. These devices include:
· Garage doors
· Security and community gates
· Entry door locks
· Home or office lighting
· Other RF devices

Safety Belts

Front and rear one-piece, three-point lap/shoulder safety belts come standard on Range Rover Sport. The front seatbelts include the addition of height-adjustable front safety-belt anchors.

Integrated Body-frame Construction

Range Rover Sport´s Integrated Body-frame^TM construction combines an integrated hydroformed chassis with the rigidity of a state-of-the-art monocoque body for exceptional passenger protection.
· Additionally, remarkably strong Boron steel is integrated into the A- and B-pillars to protect occupants in both front- and side-impact collisions.
· To further improve ride comfort, special mini-dampers are also employed between the body and chassis to reduce road vibration and noise.

Cold-Climate Package

The Cold-Climate Package helps takes the edge off of cold starts by offering the following features:
· Two-stage heated front seats
· Heated rear seats
· Heated front windshield and washer jets

Air Bags and Supplemental Restraint System

The Range Rover Sport is equipped with an advanced airbag Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) that surrounds passengers with six airbags:
· Front airbags and seat-mounted thorax airbags protect the driver and front-seat passenger
· Side curtain airbags protect both rows of seats

Crumple Zones and Reinforced Doors

To shield the vehicle´s vital areas, Range Rover Sport´s frame structure is widest in the passenger area and includes front and rear crumple zones, designed to absorb impact energy and help minimize the forces acting on the passenger compartment. To protect against side-impact collisions, the doors are reinforced with steel side-door beams and side curtain airbags.

In the event of a frontal collision, Range Rover Sport´s sliding-fit steering column allows the shaft to collapse, helping prevent column intrusion into the vehicle interior

Collision-activated Inertia Switch

A Collision-activated inertia switch is designed to enhance your safety in the event of an accident by automatically:
· Unlocking doors
· Turning off the fuel pump
· Turning on the hazard lights

Child-safety Appointments

Range Rover Sport helps enhance the safety of children in the vehicle with the following important equipment:
· LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) system helps safely secure a child´s vehicle seat (includes tether anchors)
· Rear door locks prevent the side doors and tailgate from being opened from inside the vehicle
· Childproof window locks
