Over the past several weeks we have all watched the COVID-19 story unfold across the globe, as well as actions taken by governments to stem its spread. There is no doubt that SARS-CoV-2 which causes COVID-19 is serious, highly contagious and has caused numerous fatalities. COVID-19 is a new virus reportedly from contaminated food in an open-air market in Wuhan, China.

We are concerned about the health and safety of everyone. To prepare a COVID-19 Action Plan it is important to understand how it spreads.  The COVID-19 is typically transmitted by droplets when someone coughs, spits, or sneezes, and can live for couple of days on surfaces, depending on moisture, temperature and sunshine (UV) light, etc.

 
We have adopted CDC recommendations for our staff:
  • Be considerate properly cover your nose or mouth as recommended by the CDC and properly dispose of used tissue.
  •  Wear gloves.
  •  Be considerate, do not come to work if you don't feel well:
              Fever (subjective or measured)
              Cough
              Shortness of breath/trouble breathing
  • Wear provided gloves when working on cars.
  • Good hygiene goes a long way. Thoroughly wash hands after working on customer vehicles, use a sanitizer if soap and water are not available, prior to touching your face, nose or mouth. 
  • Most importantly, if you don't feel well stay home.
  • No meetings.
  • Keep 6-foot distance from others.
We are aware of your concerns as well:
  • Service Valet pick up and drop off is available.
  • We use MyKaarma which has a secure application platform allowing customers to pay prior to picking up their car.
  • We will pre-write your Repair Order, shortening the time in our service department. You will not be permitted to add items with this process.
  • Points of contact in our loaner vehicles will be wiped down with 70% alcohol - steering wheel, shifter, wiper and turn signal stalk, dash and door handle.
  • When work is completed on your vehicle, we will perform the same procedure.
  • We recommend you follow the same CDC recommendations.
